Publisher Focus Entertainment and developers from the Saber Interactive studio have released the promised major patch for their third-person shooter Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 and boasted of another success of the game.
The main feature of the released update 4.0 was the Termination mission on the planet Kadaku, a “killer” difficulty level and a photo mode (only when playing alone) for cooperative PvE operations.
On “killer” difficulty, enemies of the Majoris level can become furious (become even stronger), ammo boxes have restrictions for each player, and armor after finishing moves is restored only in the vicinity of teammates.
According to the developers, the previous patch made operations (especially with the forces of Chaos) “noticeably easier,” so in the latest update the team tried to make PvE missions a little more difficult.
In addition, patch 4.0 brought changes to PvP balance, additional customization options for Chaos Space Marines, bug fixes, improved game stability, and “small performance improvements.”
As for the new successes of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, the audience of the action movie has already exceeded 4.5 million people. The project is not represented in any subscription, so in this case sales are equal to the number of players.
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was released on September 9 on PC (Steam, EGS), PS5, Xbox Series X and S. The developers showed what to expect from future post-release updates in a recent trailer.
