MSI has introduced the Versa 300 Wireless and Versa 300 Elite Wireless gaming mice. Although visually the new products are practically the same, they are equipped with different sensors and switches, and therefore offer a different user experience.
The Versa 300 Elite Wireless is powered by a PixArt PAW3395DM optical sensor with a resolution of up to 26,000 DPI. The device is capable of switching on the fly between five resolution options: 400, 800, 1600, 3200 and 6400 DPI, and finer settings are available through the proprietary MSI Center application. The Elite model features Omron mechanical switches with a lifespan of 60 million clicks. The maximum polling frequency is 1000 Hz. The manufacturer claims up to 80 hours of operation on a single battery charge for the Versa 300 Elite Wireless. The mouse weighs 65 grams.
The Versa 300 Wireless model, in turn, is equipped with a PixArt PAW3104DB optical sensor with a resolution of up to 8000 DPI. On-the-fly resolution settings are offered at 400, 800, 1600, 2400, 3200, 4000, 6400 and 8000 DPI. It uses Kailh mechanical switches with a lifespan of 30 million clicks. The polling rate is also 1000 Hz. The new product will work up to 50 hours on a single battery charge. The mouse weighs 60 grams.
The MSI Versa 300 Wireless and Versa 300 Elite Wireless mice have the same dimensions 125 × 64 × 41 mm, have six buttons each, and offer 2.4 GHz radio connectivity, Bluetooth 5.3 or USB 2.0. The Elite model is equipped with RGB lighting.
The manufacturer did not say anything about the cost of the new products. The start of sales will depend on the region. SMI recommends keeping an eye on local retailers for updates on gaming peripherals assortments.
