According to multiple sources cited by VideoCardz, Intel is sending out invitations to a special pre-briefing for press and bloggers on October 7th. There, the company will tell the first details about the new processors, and also answer questions from those present. The event will not be public. The information that will be announced there cannot be disclosed until October 10. On this day, Intel will officially present the new processors and the LGA 1851 platform to the public.

Intel also confirmed that new processors and motherboards for them will go on sale two weeks after the announcement, that is, on October 24. Independent reviews of the new platform are expected on the same day.

The VideoCardz portal also shared the first image of one of the upcoming motherboards with the new LGA 1851 processor socket. We are talking about the overclocking model Asus Z890 Maximus Apex, equipped with two DDR5 slots (for more stable overclocking) and two PCIe x16 connectors.

In addition to it, Asus is preparing to release motherboards based on the Intel Z890 chipset as part of its proprietary ROG Strix, TUF Gaming, ProArt and Prime series.
