London-based studio poncle, responsible for the creation and development of the gothic survival action roguelike Vampire Survivors, has joined the list of developers who have applied to game publishers.

Poncle announced plans to open a publishing division as part of the Pitching to Investors and Publishers event held recently in Liverpool, organized by Game Republic.

Poncle’s tasks will not include appropriating other people’s franchises. The studio emphasized that it doesn’t want to work as a traditional publisher, but rather as a label or background to help developers make the games they want.

The publishing division of poncle will be able to offer partners additional funding, assistance with release on different platforms, localization, and testing.

The studio is looking for games made with “heart, passion and [filled with] depth” and is also willing to provide marketing support to the creators of highly “replayable, accessible and fun” indie projects.

«We want to sign everyone! But we are a very small [studio]!,” poncle emphasized. The team definitely doesn’t want to sign with those who promote Web3, AI, shareware mobile games or Vampire Survivors clones.

The release version of Vampire Survivors was released on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and S, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android, as well as Game Pass. An anime series will be made based on the game.
