All Apple iPhone 16 models have been tested with charging operating voltages ranging from 5 to 15 V at 3 A, which corresponds to a power of up to 45 W. This is more than 50% more than the iPhone 15 line of devices, which showed power of 27-29 W, but never even reached 30 W. Before the announcement of the iPhone 16, there were rumors that Apple’s next-generation smartphones would support faster charging, although Apple did not provide specific figures. Unofficial sources claimed that wireless MagSafe would be able to show power of up to 25 W when connecting the appropriate power adapter, but there was no information about wired charging.

Previous generations of iPhones support charging power above 25 W, very close to 30 W – while Apple officially reported that fast charging is carried out when connecting a 20 W USB Type-C adapter. For the iPhone 16, Apple also does not mention 45W charging, noting only support for 20W power supplies, as well as the possibility of 25W wireless charging via MagSafe.

The iPhone 16 and 16 Pro smartphones were presented last Monday, the company will begin accepting pre-orders tomorrow, Friday, and they will go on sale on September 20. The devices received a new button on the body, Pro models had larger screen sizes, and full support for Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence functions.
