The space role-playing game Starfield from Bethesda Game Studios was released exactly a year ago, on September 6, 2023, and on the occasion of the memorable date, the developers addressed fans with gratitude and new details of the Shattered Space add-on.
Let us remind you that Starfield became available for buyers of premium editions on September 1, 2023, and for everyone else it started five days later. Since then, 14 million people have joined the project (June statistics).
«“Thank you to all the millions of players who made Mastered Systems their home and helped make the first year of Starfield incredible,” reads the congratulatory message on the official microblog of Bethesda Game Studios.
Bethesda assured that many more interesting things await Starfield users (they did not specify what exactly), starting with the first story addition to the game, Shattered Space, released on September 30.
The developers also briefly described what to expect from the future add-on:
The plot of Shattered Space will be dedicated to the secrets of the House of Va’ruun – a religious cult that worships the Great Serpent. They promise the city of Dazra, a story about a mysterious cosmic threat, unique weapons, spacesuits and equipment.
Shattered Space will be released on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X and S. The expansion will cost $30, but owners of the premium and collector’s editions of Starfield will receive the future expansion for free.
