DTS Clear Dialogue technology has been introduced, which will improve the clarity of dialogue in films and TV series

Fans of watching movies and TV series at home sometimes have complaints that character dialogues sound too quiet – they are simply lost against the background of sound effects and musical accompaniment. A solution to the problem was proposed by DTS, which introduced Clear Dialogue technology.

DTS Clear Dialogue is an “AI-based solution designed to improve the clarity of spoken dialogue on TVs.” The company’s AI algorithm recognizes and enhances dialogue in audio streams, saving home video enthusiasts from trying to solve this problem by changing audio settings, positioning the soundbar, or even turning on subtitles. DTS Clear Dialogue even allows you to personalize your audio settings, because what’s perfect for one person may not always be perfect for another.

DTS Clear Dialogue is a package of tools for the end device, that is, TV manufacturers will have to take care of its support. The company has not yet announced who will use the new solution, but its partners include brands such as Sony, Hisense, Philips and LG. DTS intends to demonstrate the operation of the Clear Dialogue system at the IFA exhibition in Berlin.
