The microblogging service Threads, owned by Meta✴ Platforms, continues to develop and receive new features. This time it became known about the imminent launch of a function that allows users to post posts that, along with replies to them, will disappear 24 hours after publication. The company confirmed that the feature is currently being tested with a limited number of Threads users.
Information about the integration of support for disappearing messages appeared several months after the head of Instagram✴ Adam Mosseri reported that Threads developers were experimenting with an automatic archiving feature. This option allows users to specify a date from which their posts will be automatically hidden from the feed. However, service users mostly responded negatively to this innovation, which is why automatic archiving has not yet become widespread. The company probably thought that disappearing messages would be better received by the audience.
Let’s remember that earlier this month the Threads user base exceeded 200 million people worldwide. Not long ago, the platform developers introduced an analytics tool called Insights, which will be especially useful for people with a large number of subscribers. At the same time, Meta✴ announced a scheduled posting feature that will allow users to create posts in advance and set the date and time when they should become visible to other users.
