Oppo F27 5G smartphone presented with Dimensity 6300 chip, IP64 protection and price starting from $250

In June of this year, the Oppo F27 Pro+ smartphone was released, the body of which is made in accordance with international standards IP69K and MIL-STD-810H. Now the manufacturer has presented a more affordable Oppo F27 5G with dust and moisture protection according to the IP64 standard.

The smartphone received from the developers a 6.67-inch OLED display with support for Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Unlike the F27 Pro+, which used a panel with rounded edges, the new smartphone uses a flat screen with a peak brightness of 2100 cd/m².

In addition to protection from dust and moisture, it is important to note that the frame of the smartphone is made of high-strength alloy, and the screen is protected from damage by tempered glass. The F27 5G weighs 187g and is 7.69mm thick (emerald green) or 7.76mm (amber orange).

Although the new Oppo smartphone is not aimed at creating high-quality photos, it is not without an interesting feature in the form of lighting around the entire main camera unit. As for the camera itself, it combines a 50-megapixel sensor with a 2-megapixel depth sensor and an LED backlight. In addition to this, there is a 32-megapixel front camera, which is placed in a circular hole at the top of the screen.

Oppo has not announced which microprocessor is used in the F27 5G, but the specifications indicate that we are talking about the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, which provides operation in fifth-generation communication networks. The configuration is complemented by 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB storage. The software platform uses Android 14 with the proprietary ColorOS interface.

One of the interesting features is the support for BeaconLink, which allows you to make calls between devices without using a cellular connection, similar to what happens with walkie-talkies. The effective range of such communication is 200 m. The smartphone also implements many functions based on artificial intelligence, including AI Studio for photo editing, AI Eraser 2.0 for removing people who accidentally got there from the frame, AI Smart Image Matting 2.0 for creating stickers with the subsequent ability using them on social networks. Let’s highlight the AI function of transcribing and providing generalized summaries of voice recordings, as well as creating generalized summaries of web pages and converting text to speech.

The power source is a 5000 mAh rechargeable battery. According to the manufacturer, the battery will retain at least 80% capacity after four years of use and daily charging during this time. The battery supports SuperVOOC fast charging up to 45W. As for the price, the retail price of the Oppo F27 5G starts at $250 for the version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of ROM.
