Colorful has introduced the CVN Z790D5 Ark Frozen ATX motherboard for 14th, 13th and 12th generation Intel Core processors. The new product supports DDR5 RAM and is equipped with four PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots for high-speed NVMe solid-state drives.
The CVN Z790D5 Ark Frozen is based on an eight-layer PCB and a 16-phase power subsystem with a 14+1+1 phase circuit, which includes highly efficient 90 A DrMOS VRM modules and tantalum polymer capacitors. The manufacturer notes that the board can handle Core i9 processors without any problems.
The new product supports installation of up to 192 GB of DDR5-7800 RAM (OS), received one PCIe 5.0 x16, PCIe 4.0 x16, PCIe 4.0 x4 and PCIe 3.0 x1 connector, as well as four SATA III ports (6 Gbps). In addition, it is equipped with a 2.5 Gbit LAN network adapter and supports Wi-Fi 6E.
The rear panel of connectors on the board has four USB 2.0, two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A, three USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A and one USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C. The front panel has one USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C with support for 30 W fast charging, as well as two USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A and four USB 2.0.
The cost of the CVN Z790D5 Ark Frozen motherboard has not been announced.
