Following the unexpected leak of an almost finished version of the game, the advertising campaign for the hotly anticipated third-person shooter Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has returned to more traditional forms of promoting the project.
The latest in a series of gameplay videos focusing on a specific element of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 (like the planet Kadaku or the chainsword), shows off the features of the heavy bolter.
Large-caliber ammunition and a large clip allow the heavy bolter to inflict serious injury on its enemies. The weapon is ideal for both thinning out hordes of Tyranids and penetrating the armor of particularly protected enemies.
According to the developers of Space Marine 2, the “fury of the heavy bolter” is used by the Ultramarines to support infantry soldiers during assaults, as well as to escape critical situations.
In the comments to the video, they express their love for the heavy bolter, give quotes dedicated to it, and even create advertising slogans for the weapon, like this one from 588holly: “Solve problems with alarming speed.”
You can use a heavy bolter to solve problems frighteningly quickly in the story campaign (with co-op for three people), the PvE mode “Operations” (also for three participants) and the PvP mode “Eternal War” (“6 vs 6”).
Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be released on September 9 on PC (Steam), PS5, Xbox Series X and S, but premium edition buyers will have access four days earlier. There will be no microtransactions or in-game store in the shooter.
