In September last year, the Chinese company Huawei released on the home market the world’s first three -legged folding smartphone Mate XT Ultimate. Later, Vendor said that, outside the Celestial Empire, the new flagship will appear in the first quarter of 2025, but the exact date of launch was not announced. Now it became known that this will happen in less than two weeks.

This week, Huawei announced that on February 18, in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia), an event called “Launch of an innovative product” dedicated to the presentation of the global version of the Mate XT Ultimate smartphone will be held. At the same time, Huawei did not specify information about the retail value of the device and the terms of entering markets of different countries. Probably, these data will be announced during the upcoming event.

Recall that the screen of the Mate XT Ultimate consists of three wings connected by two articulated mechanisms (one hinge folds the wings inside, and the second – out). The smartphone screen can be deployed into two wings and get a 7.9-inch screen, while in a fully laid out the diagonal increases to 10.2 inches. The LTP OLED matrix is ​​used with a resolution of 2232 × 3184 pixels.

The manufacturer did not reveal the data on the microprocessor used, but it is assumed that the Mate XT Ultimate uses the Huawei Kirin 9010 branded chip. The smartphone comes with 16 GB of RAM, a capacity of up to 1 TB and a 5600 mAh battery. Harmonyos 4.2 is involved as a program platform. In China, the cost of Mate XT Ultimate starts at about $ 2800.
