At the beginning of the year, Zotac announced the AMP Extreme Infinity series of accelerators, and also introduced a new Solid series, which will be replenished with models featuring high-performance cooling systems and a minimalist design. Now the vendor has announced another series – Solid Core, which will release accelerators with smaller versions of cooling systems compared to standard Solid.

The first Zotac accelerators in the Solid Core version were the GeForce RTX 5080 and GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. Both video cards are equipped with significantly more compact cooling systems than the Solid versions. Due to this, their thickness was reduced to 2.5 expansion slots. Recall that standard Zotac Solid accelerators take up 3.5 slots.
According to the available information, the new Solid Core accelerators are equipped with a cooling system with three fans and an evaporation chamber. There is also a Safety Lights LED indicator, designed to warn the user about the incorrect connection of the 12V-2×6 power connector.
Zotac will release two versions of each accelerator – with and without factory overclocking. The standard version of the RTX 5080 operates at 2617 MHz, and the overclocked one – at 2640 MHz. In the case of the RTX 5070 Ti, the frequencies are 2452 MHz and 2482 MHz, respectively.
Users who are not satisfied with 2.5-3 slot wide graphics cards will be able to purchase the RTX 5070 accelerator in the Solid version. It is much more compact and takes up only 2 expansion slots. A similar design is expected to be received by the RTX 5060 Ti accelerator, which Zotac will introduce later.
