Technologies based on artificial intelligence have already become part of many Google services. Video hosting YouTube, owned by the IT giant, is no exception, and the latest algorithms will soon become available to users of the service. As part of the Made on YouTube event, developers announced several features that are likely to change the way content creators create videos, as well as the videos themselves published on the platform.

The first feature is called “Inspiration” and will appear in YouTube Studio. The tool has been tested with a limited number of users over the past few months. This feature is actually designed to tell content creators what they should do. She can propose a video concept, generate a title and thumbnail for the video, and prepare a text description. YouTube positions the feature as a tool for brainstorming, but in general it can be useful when creating full-fledged projects.
In addition, YouTube users will be able to generate realistic videos using Veo’s powerful neural network, which was introduced earlier this year and has now been integrated into Shorts. A Google spokesperson noted that Veo is already integrated into the cloud-based Shorts editor, and videos created with it will be tagged accordingly to let viewers know the video was created using AI.
Both new features will be rolled out gradually and will be available to all content creators later this year or early next year. Other tools based on neural networks will appear on YouTube. These include an automatic video dubbing function, which will dub videos into different languages. The platform will also give creators more AI tools to interact with subscribers through the Communities section of the YouTube app.
