You can create gifts on Telegram yourself and send them as NFTs

At the Tonkeeper Talks event in France, the head of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov spoke about new opportunities that will appear in the gifts section and about the prospects for the TON blockchain after the change of power in the United States, reports Durov Code.

The gift function in Telegram has gained “explosive popularity,” Mr. Durov said, they are now being sent more and more often, and in the future new opportunities will appear here. Gifts on Telegram can be sent to the TON blockchain as NFTs or non-fungible tokens. Users will be able to create their own gifts – the development of gift mechanics seems logical to Durov. In the future, there will also be an “interactive showcase” where NFT elements will be placed. Apparently, here it will be possible to combine their attributes from the “rare” category and transfer the gifts to the “collectible” category. Telegram users will also be able to set NFTs as their profile picture.

The day before, US President Donald Trump took office again, and during the election campaign he promised to support the cryptocurrency industry as head of state. In this regard, Pavel Durov is confident that the United States can change its attitude towards the TON platform for the better. “I will be surprised if I don’t see listings at Tier1 USA CEX this year. Americans love freedom, which means they will definitely like Telegram and TON,” said the head of the messenger.
