Xiaomi Watch S4 smart watch presented – 1.43″ AMOLED display, 5-15 days of battery life, HyperOS 2 and eSIM for $135

The Chinese company Xiaomi has officially introduced the Watch S4 smart watch, which retains the interchangeable bezel design used in the previous generation model. The new product will be available in versions with eSIM support and a brown leather strap, as well as with Bluetooth only support and a fluororubber strap. We also note that the device is equipped with a rotating mechanical button that simulates clicks, like in a regular watch.

Xiaomi Watch S4 features a circular 1.43-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels. A panel with a peak brightness of 2200 cd/m² and support for 256 levels of adaptive brightness is used. The device is housed in a 5 ATM waterproof housing.

The smartwatch runs the all-new HyperOS 2, which supports over 150 sports activity modes including skiing, ball games, running and more. The design includes a sensor for measuring heart rate and blood oxygen saturation level, which, in combination with an improved measurement algorithm, takes readings with an accuracy of up to 98.2%.

For accurate positioning, support for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, Beidou and QZSS satellite systems is implemented. The device is designed with a gyroscope, air pressure sensor, ambient light sensor, geomagnetic sensor, etc. Fall detection is supported.

The power source is a 486 mAh battery. The eSIM-enabled version can last up to 7 days with normal use and up to 3 days with active use. The Bluetooth version can go without recharging for up to 15 days during normal use and up to 5 days during active use, respectively.

Xiaomi Watch S4 has dimensions of 47.3 × 47.3 × 12 mm and weighs 44.5 g. Buyers will be able to choose between versions of the device in black, silver, black rainbow (with a woven strap) and brown (with a leather strap) color options, and also in different colors with leather and silicone straps. The retail version of Xiaomi Watch S4 with eSIM support starts at $135, and for the version with Bluetooth you will have to pay at least $110.
