The Chinese company Xiaomi has set a date for the presentation of two important new products at once. The Xiaomi 15 Ultra smartphone and the SU7 Ultra sports electric car, which will be equipped with a power plant with a capacity of more than 1,500 “horses”, will be presented next Thursday. Initially, it was expected that the sports car would be launched in March, but it was decided to speed up the start of sales recently.

The first phase of the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra debut took place on October 29 last year, when the main characteristics became known, which included three traction electric motors with a total capacity of 1,548 horsepower. Acceleration time to 100 km / h promised not to exceed 2 seconds, the maximum speed reaches 350 km / h, which is generally uncharacteristic for Chinese electric cars and emphasizes the sports orientation of the model. Recently it also became known that Xiaomi certified in China not only the five-seater version of the SU7 Ultra, but also a version with two seats in the cabin. Most likely, a similar interior option will go to the so-called “track” version of the car with improved dynamic characteristics.
The SU7 Ultra is expected to cost over $112,000, but for a sports car with such characteristics, this is not that much money. However, this price is fair for the domestic Chinese market, and outside of it, it may lose its advantage compared to the same German competitors with which the SU7 Ultra has been tirelessly competing since its initial announcement in late October. The broadcast of the event, during which Xiaomi will present the SU7 Ultra and the new 15 Ultra smartphone, will begin on February 27 at 7 p.m. Beijing time (14:00 Moscow time). The company has already received about 3,680 preliminary applications for the purchase of the sports car, and in total it expects to produce 10,000 such cars this year.
