Xiaomi managed to deliver 150,000 SU7 electric vehicles to customers

Introduced about a year ago, the Xiaomi SU7 electric car began shipping at the end of March last year, the company expected to produce 150,000 cars per year at its first plant in Beijing, a goal it achieved ahead of schedule, as Xiaomi founder Lei Jun recently announced deliveries exceeding the milestone of 150,000 electric vehicles.

According to the results of last year, Xiaomi shipped 139,547 SU7 electric sedans, as Cnevpost notes with reference to his own data. In official statements of the company’s management, only an indicator of 135,000 copies set at the end of 2024 is mentioned. This year, the goal was set to set 300,000 electric vehicles, and from the middle of the year the SU7 sedan should also join the Yu7 crossover. A second enterprise will be commissioned, the capacities of which are also designed to produce 150,000 electric vehicles per year.

Lei Jun made his announcement about 150,000 electric vehicles delivered during a broadcast that demonstrated the SU7 electric car’s ability to independently move from one parking space to another. In addition to the super-powerful SU7 Ultra sports car, Xiaomi customers will be offered a new beetroot color scheme for the standard SU7 sedan by March. In China, the waiting list for SU7 still reaches five months, which indicates that there are a sufficient number of buyers who do not want to give preference to competitors’ products in the face of fierce competition in the local market.
