Xiaomi introduced the Watch S4 Sport smart watch in a titanium case with sapphire glass

At today’s annual presentation, Xiaomi introduced its premium smartwatch, Watch S4 Sport, priced at 2,000 yuan ($275). The new product has a titanium case and durable sapphire crystal, it can dive to a depth of 40 m, has passed PADI tests and received EN13319 certification for diving devices.

Under the sapphire crystal there is a 1.43-inch OLED display with a maximum brightness of 2200 cd/m², which does not lose readability even in bright sunlight.

Xiaomi managed to fit a surprisingly large 586 mAh battery inside, which the manufacturer claims provides up to 15 days of battery life. The watch supports five satellite positioning systems and allows you to communicate without using a smartphone thanks to eSIM.

The heart rate and blood oxygen sensor on the back panel is also protected by sapphire crystal. Xiaomi claims that the sensor is 97.2% accurate. The company said it collaborated with watch maker Suunto to develop sports tracking algorithms (such as measuring lactose threshold).

Another interesting feature of the new product is the ability to use the built-in NFC as a key for some car brands.

The delivery set includes four straps: fluoroelastomer, silicone, and two types of titanium – regular and Milanese weave.
