Following the announcement of the Redmi Note 14 Pro and Redmi Note 14 Pro+ smartphones, Xiaomi introduced another new product from the Redmi Note 14 series – the Redmi Note 14 5G smartphone. The company also announced Redmi Buds 6 wireless headphones.
The Redmi Note 14 5G smartphone is equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED display with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The peak brightness of the display is up to 2100 cd/m2. To protect it from scratches, durable Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is used. A 16-megapixel front camera is located in the hole at the top of the display.
On the back panel there is a main camera with a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor with support for optical stabilization, complemented by a 2-megapixel sensor for macro photography.
The smartphone is based on an eight-core MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra processor with a frequency of 2.5 GHz and an IMG BXM-8-256 graphics accelerator, manufactured using a 6nm process technology. The RAM capacity is up to 12 GB, the flash drive capacity is up to 256 GB. There is also support for microSD memory cards.
The smartphone comes pre-installed with Xiaomi Hyper OS based on Android 14. The power source is a 5110 mAh battery with support for 45 W fast charging. In the near future, Redmi Note 14 5G will go on sale in white (Starry White), blue (Phantom Blue) and black (Midnight Black) colors starting from 1199 yuan (about $170) for the version with 6/128 GB of memory.
Xiaomi also announced the Redmi Buds 6 wireless headphones, which are the successors to the Redmi Buds 5 released last year, differing from its predecessor in a number of updates.
The Buds 6 features dual drivers – 12.4mm dynamic drivers with titanium diaphragm coating and 5.5mm piezoelectric tweeters.
The available Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) reduces ambient noise by up to 49 dB and supports three modes. The headphones also support 360-degree spatial audio. In the Xiaomi Headphones app, you can choose custom equalizer profiles.
To connect Buds 6 to a signal source, the Bluetooth 5.4 wireless protocol is used, supporting pairing with two devices. The battery life of the device, taking into account the use of the charging case, is up to 42 hours (for Redmi Buds 5 – up to 40 hours).
Redmi Buds 6 headphones are available in white, black and blue colors. The price of the new product is 199 yuan (about $30).
