Xiaomi Magnetic Cooling Clip includes a “30W semiconductor cooler”, but in fact a thermoelectric converter, which provides cooling. The high-speed seven-blade fan rotates at 6300 rpm and provides air flow to the aluminum radiator. The Magnetic Cooling Clip, according to the manufacturer, can lower the temperature of a cooled device to 0 °C in just 25 seconds, and even reach -10 °C in ideal conditions, although actual results may vary depending on the environment.
Automatic temperature control is achieved using a PID controller that monitors the hot and cold sides of the device. There is an Extreme Cold mode for achieving lower temperatures and real-time monitoring overheat protection; There is protection against overvoltage and undervoltage. There is RGB backlighting with four modes: Rainbow, Breathing, Flowing and Bright. All these settings and temperature monitoring are accessed through the Mi Home app.
MagSafe-compatible devices have a magnetic mount, but there are also mechanical clips; Both smartphones and tablets are supported – flexible positioning is provided for larger gadgets. Xiaomi Magnetic Cooling Clip operates in a temperature range from 5 °C to 35 °C, supports QC3.0 and Xiaomi PD charging at 20W.
