Xiaomi, under the Redmi brand, has released an inexpensive 27-inch monitor A27U, which may be of interest to professional users due to its wide color gamut. The new product is based on an IPS matrix with a resolution of 4K (3840 × 2160 pixels), which has a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
The Redmi Monitor A27U display claims a response speed of 6 ms, brightness up to 300 cd/m2, and a contrast ratio of 1200:1. The manufacturer also notes 95% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space and 100% coverage of the sRGB space, which is useful when working with video, photography and other graphics.
The manufacturer notes that the A27U uses new eye protection technology, Qingshan Eye Protection, developed by specialists from the Chinese Academy of Information and Communications Technology together with the Zhongshan Eye Center at Sun Yat-sen University. The monitor is also equipped with technology that reduces exposure to harmful blue light, which is confirmed by TÜV Rheinland certification.
The Redmi Monitor A27U is equipped with two HDMI 2.0 and two DispayPort 1.4. In addition, it is equipped with a VESA 75 x 75 mount and an ergonomic stand with the ability to change the height of the screen above the table, as well as the rotation and tilt angles.
Sales of the Redmi Monitor A27U will begin on August 12. It is currently available for pre-order on online marketplace JD.com for 1,199 yuan (about $169).
