This week, Microsoft released more Windows 11 test builds to Insiders. One of the notable changes was a revamped About section in the Settings app, where users can get information about their computer’s hardware.

In addition to the specifications, Microsoft is working on a frequently asked questions (FAQ) section to help users understand how certain hardware components affect their overall computer performance. Rumors of such a section have been circulating for some time, but now it is actually available in the About section of the Settings app. Microsoft hasn’t announced the feature yet, but you can get started right now.

Of course, more or less experienced users are unlikely to find anything new in the Windows 11 Q&A section. However, for inexperienced users, this information may be very useful. For example, in the new section, you can find answers to the following questions: “Am I using the latest version of Windows?”, “Which version of Windows is current?”, “How does having 4-8 GB of RAM affect my PC’s performance?”, “Will I be able to run modern applications without problems with this amount of RAM?”, “What is a graphics accelerator?”, “Is my video card sufficient for high-end games?”, etc.

It is noted that the list of available questions may differ depending on the hardware used. For example, users with integrated graphics will be asked about the lack of a discrete accelerator. Questions and answers also depend on the amount of installed RAM. Curiously, there are questions for PCs with less than 4 GB of RAM, although the minimum system requirements for installing Windows 11 do not include this option.
