Migration on the Windows 11 platform is stable, although they cannot be called breathtaking. Now this operating system occupies 36.7 % of the market, but the championship of popularity still holds Windows 10 with a share of 60.33 %, which is reduced quite slowly. This is evidenced by Statcounter statistics.

In July of this year, Windows 10 will turn ten years old, and in October this Microsoft operating system will go to the life cycle, which means the termination of free technical support and updates. For corporate customers, further work with Windows 10 will be associated with the need to pay for important updates, so at a certain moment it will become more profitable for them to switch to Windows 11.

As you know, for working with Windows 11, the motherboard must have a TPM 2.0 module, although this restriction can be circumvented if there is a desire. The transition to Windows 11, therefore, should stimulate a good increase in sales of new PCs. The market participants counted on it last year, but the trends were not destined to materialize. As the deadlines for completing Windows 10 support, this year, the transition to Windows 11 will probably increase.

It is noteworthy that Windows 7 still takes 2.4 %, although its support has long been terminated. The most persistent customers are ready to hold on to existing versions of operating systems for a long time if a potential upgrade attracts serious organizational and technical difficulties. In the UK healthcare system, for example, Windows XP was used until 2018, and only in 2018 did the Windows 10 transition took place.
