Typically, when you send a photo or video using View Once, the recipient can only view it through the WhatsApp app on Android or iOS. Saving, forwarding or creating screenshots is not possible. When trying to open such a message through the web version or desktop application of WhatsApp, the user sees a notification: “You have received a photo for one-time viewing. For added privacy, you can only open it on your phone.”
