Plaud has announced the NotePin, an AI-powered, ChatGPT-enabled wearable voice recorder designed for recording notes and meetings. The device has the shape of a tablet and can be used as a pendant, attached to clothing, hand or any other place.
NotePin continues the trend of AI-powered wearables, which are mainly divided into two types – communication devices, such as Friend, and devices for work and business meetings, such as Limitless. NotePin falls into the second category, as it focuses on transcribing, summarizing, and extracting important points from notes, The Verge explains.
The gadget operates for up to 20 hours without recharging in continuous recording mode, while its use requires manual startup, which was done specifically both to increase confidentiality and to ensure the consent of all meeting participants to record. Due to its compact size, NotePin makes the whole process more convenient, as it allows you to wear it on your body, for example, attach it to your wrist through a bracelet or attach it to your NotePin pocket as a pin or clip.
The device costs $169 for the basic version with the most basic AI features, and an additional $79 per year for the advanced version, which includes resume templates and speaker tagging.
