The press service of the Moscow mayor and the capital’s government warned of possible restrictions on the operation of mobile Internet in the city from May 7 to 9. This is due to the holding of mass events in honor of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the “arrival of numerous foreign delegations.” It is also reported that a number of restrictions on the passage of vehicles will be introduced.

«We count on the understanding of residents of Moscow and the capital. We ask that you use official information on these matters,” the press service representative added.
Let us recall that on May 5, a large-scale failure occurred in the work of mobile operators T2, MTS, MegaFon and Beeline. The majority of complaints about problems with mobile communications came from residents of the capital. Representatives of MegaFon and Beeline stated that the connection was not working for reasons beyond their control.
The Unified State System for the Prevention and Elimination of Emergencies notified Moscow residents on the same day that problems with operators were related to ensuring the safety of festive events. Later, the agency sent out a notice that cellular communications could be limited from May 7 to May 9.
