VK Video now has an improved video editor – it can edit videos after downloading

Using the updated version of the video editor in VK Video, video content creators were able to edit videos after uploading, create clips from long videos with a couple of clicks, and also attach clips to long videos to promote the main content. Expansion of editing tools simplifies the process and allows authors to keep content up-to-date without additional effort.

In the web version of VK Video, authors can now edit videos after adding them to the channel – deleting and re-uploading the video is not required. You can trim the video at the beginning and end and remove unnecessary fragments anywhere in the video. First of all, the new function will be in demand for removing advertising after the end of the contract. Editing the video will not affect the number of views, likes and comments.

In the VKontakte mobile applications on iOS and Android, a “Create Clip” button will appear, allowing you to select an episode from a long video for further editing in a special clip editor. You can trim the clip, add audio and subtitles, and then publish it. The Smart Trim feature can convert horizontal video into a vertical clip, automatically selecting the most interesting part of the frame.

The function of linking clips to long videos is useful for creating teasers and promoting main content. You can attach up to twenty short clips to a long video in editing mode. This feature is available for both published content and new content, allowing creators to improve engagement with their audience.
