Vivo has officially unveiled the successor to last year’s Y200i smartphone. The new device, Vivo Y300i, is based on the same Qualcomm processor as the previous model, has a screen with HD+ resolution support, and can operate in fifth-generation (5G) networks.

Vivo Y300i received from the developers a 6.68-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1608 × 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. At the top of the screen there is a cutout in which a 5-megapixel front camera (f / 2.2) is installed. The fingerprint scanner is on the side of the case. The main camera is a 50-megapixel sensor, supplemented by an LED flash.

The hardware basis of the new product is the eight-core Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 processor (two Cortex-A78 cores with a frequency of up to 2.2 GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores with a frequency of up to 2.0 GHz). The Adreno 613 accelerator is responsible for graphics processing. The configuration is complemented by 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and a UFS 2.2 storage device with a capacity of 256 or 512 GB.

The power source is a 6500 mAh battery with support for fast charging up to 44 W. A USB Type-C interface is provided for connecting the charger. Wireless connection is provided by built-in Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.1 adapters. There is also a receiver of signals from GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou satellite systems, as well as a built-in NFC chip.

The dimensions of the device are 165.7 × 76.3 × 8.09 mm, and the weight is 206 g. Vivo Y300i will be available in the following color options: “black jade”, “titanium”, “lime blue” and “black”. Depending on the chosen color, the thickness of the case may vary slightly. Android 15 with the proprietary OriginOS 15 interface is used as a software platform.

As for the price, the version of the smartphone with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of ROM is priced at $207, the model with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of ROM will cost $221, and the version with 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of ROM will cost $248.
