Vivo V50 Lite 5G smartphone with a capacious battery and very fast 90W charging is presented

Vivo has unveiled the new V50 Lite 5G smartphone, which is a continuation of the recently announced 4G version. The device has a new processor with improved connectivity and retains key specifications, including a powerful 6,500 mAh battery with support for 90 W fast charging.

The V50 Lite 5G is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, which replaces the Snapdragon 685 in the 4G model. The smartphone offers 8 or 12 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256 or 512 GB of UFS 2.2 storage. There is no microSD card slot. The new processor not only provides 5G support, but also offers a more modern version of Bluetooth – 5.4 instead of 5.0. As for Wi-Fi, the manufacturer did not specify the version, but according to GSMArena, it is Wi-Fi 5, like in the 4G model.

The Vivo V50 Lite 5G features a 6.77-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1080p resolution, and peak brightness of up to 1800 nits. There’s an optical fingerprint scanner at the bottom of the screen, and a 32MP front camera at the top.

The main camera has also received a significant upgrade. In particular, in addition to the 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 sensor (1/2.0”), an 8-megapixel wide-angle module has appeared. Recall that in the 4G version, a 2-megapixel auxiliary sensor was used instead. Below the cameras is the Aura Light backlight.

The smartphone’s 6,500 mAh battery, according to Vivo, is capable of retaining at least 80% of its capacity even after 5 years of use, and a full charge will last for about 10 hours of gaming. Charging to 100% will take less than 53 minutes, and to 50% – only 23 minutes.

The device has an IP65 rating (protection against dust and water drops), is resistant to damage thanks to the corner cushioning technology, and has also passed drop tests. There is no physical headphone jack, but the phone is equipped with stereo speakers.

The V50 Lite 5G is already available in Spain, priced at €400 for the 12/512GB version, and comes in Titanium Gold and Phantom Black (actually dark purple), as well as Fantasy Purple (feather texture) and Silk Green (wave texture).
