Vivo Pad5 Pro Tablet Unveiled — 3.1K Display, Dimensity 9400 Chip, 12050mAh Battery for $410

Vivo this week unveiled the X200 Ultra and X200s smartphones, as well as the Watch 5 smartwatch. Along with this, the manufacturer announced the imminent launch of two new tablet computers – the flagship Pad5 Pro and the more affordable Pad SE.

Vivo Pad5 Pro received from the developers a 13-inch LCD display with a resolution of 3096 × 2064 pixels (3.1K), an adaptive refresh rate of 30/48/60/90/120/144 Hz and a sampling rate of up to 480 Hz. The design includes an 8-megapixel front and 13-megapixel rear camera.

The Pad5 Pro is powered by an eight-core MediaTek Dimensity 9400 microprocessor, while the Immortalis-G925 accelerator is used for graphics processing. The tablet will be available in versions with 8, 12 or 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and a UFS 4.0 storage device of 128, 256 or 512 GB. The power source is a 12050 mAh battery with support for fast charging up to 66 W. A USB Type-C connector is provided for connecting the charger.

The design includes eight speakers, and wireless connectivity is provided by Wi-Fi 7 802.11 be (2.4 GHz + 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.4 modules. There is a built-in NFC chip. The ultra-thin version of the tablet, 5.96 mm thick and weighing 578 g, will go on sale, as well as the standard model, 6.07 mm thick and weighing 635 g. Android 15 with the proprietary OriginOS 5 interface is used as a software platform.

The more affordable Vivo Pad SE received from the developers a 12.25-inch LCD display with support for a resolution of 2464 × 1600 pixels (2.5K) and an adaptive refresh rate of 60/90 Hz. The tablet is equipped with a 5-megapixel front and 5-megapixel rear camera.

The hardware basis of the device is the eight-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 microprocessor in combination with the Adreno 613 graphics accelerator. The tablet will be available in versions with 6 or 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a UFS 3.1 drive of 128 or 256 GB. Autonomy is provided by an 8500 mAh battery with support for fast charging with a power of up to 15 W. The audio subsystem includes four speakers, and Wi-Fi 802.11 ac and Bluetooth 4.2 modules are provided for wireless connection.

The Vivo Pad5 Pro starts at $410 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage version, while the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage model will set you back $535 for the standard version and $600 for the Ultra Slim version. The Vivo Pad SE with 6GB RAM + 128GB storage will cost you around $145, while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage option will set you back $245. Both tablets will go on sale in China before the end of the month. It is not yet known whether they will appear outside the domestic market.
