Vivo introduced the V40 Lite 4G smartphones with Snapdragon 685 and V40 Lite 5G with Snapdragon 4 Gen 2

In addition to the V40e smartphone, Vivo today launched the V40 Lite 4G and V40 Lite 5G smartphone models. Visually, both devices are practically no different. The key differences are related to the hardware of the devices.

The V40 Lite 4G model received a Snapdragon 685 processor (6 nm, four Cortex-A73 cores with a frequency of 2.8 GHz, four Cortex-A53 with a frequency of 1.9 GHz, Adreno 610 GPU) and 8 GB of RAM. The V40 Lite 5G is powered by a Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chip (4nm, dual 2.2GHz Cortex-A78, six 1.95GHz Cortex-A55, Adreno 613 GPU) with 5G support and offers up to 12GB of storage RAM.

Both smartphones have identical design and dimensions. Both received 6.67-inch AMOLED screens with support for a resolution of 2400 × 1080 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. On the front sides of the devices there is a 32-megapixel camera that supports video shooting in 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second.

V40 Lite 4G

The main camera block of the devices is represented by a 50-megapixel sensor (IMX882) measuring 1/1.95 with f/1.8 optics and a 2-megapixel sensor for calculating scene depth. The main cameras of smartphones can shoot video in 1080p at 30 frames per second. Both devices also come with AI Erase, Photo Enhance and Document Scanning features.

Vivo V40 Lite 4G and V40 Lite 5G run Android 14 with the proprietary Funtouch OS 14 shell. The devices received 5000 mAh batteries with support for 80 W fast charging and NFC modules.

The V40 Lite 4G will be offered in Titanium Silver, Pearl Violet and Carbon Black colours. The device costs about $220 for the version with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. The option with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage is estimated at approximately $240. The V40 Lite 5G will be available in Titanium Silver and Carbon Black colors. The version with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of permanent memory received a price tag of $285.
