Valve has finally released the final issue of the official Team Fortress 2 comic – fans have been waiting for it for almost eight years

The series of official comics based on the shareware online shooter Team Fortress 2 from Valve, which was interrupted in January 2017 at the sixth issue, was continued after almost eight years.

Let’s remember that the seventh issue did not show signs of life for years, but last summer the authors Erik Wolpaw and Jay Pinkerton assured that the comic was in the works, and even provided physical evidence.

And so, on December 20, 2024, without warning, Valve announced the release of The Days Have Worn Away – the seventh and final chapter of the Team Fortress 2 comic book series, which began back in 2013.

Like all previous releases, The Days Have Worn Away is available for reading (link to the official Team Fortress website) only in English, but fan translations will probably not be long in coming.

In the message accompanying the announcement, Valve noted that everything is learned by comparison: for example, the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa took 200 years to build, so a seven-year delay in the latest release is not such a bad result.

Judging by the reaction on social networks, the premiere of The Days Have Worn Away has become a big and long-awaited event for the Team Fortress 2 community – fans can hardly control themselves from the excitement.

Team Fortress 2 was released in October 2007, and became free-to-play in June 2011. In the fall, Valve corrected the historical injustice by returning the blue team’s Scout pants to the correct color, but a day later they reversed the change.
