Updated Yandex Auto platform with expanded Alice capabilities presented

«Yandex presented a prototype of a new version of the Yandex Auto multimedia platform — it supports voice control not only of Yandex services, but also of car systems, such as climate control and window lifters. This means that the driver will not have to be distracted by a smartphone or dashboard to launch the desired function.

«Yandex Auto integrates with the Yandex smart home ecosystem, meaning that the driver can give Alice a command to warm up the car from home or, on the contrary, turn on the air conditioner and kettle at home while still in the car. The assistant with artificial intelligence can open a window in the car, unlock the doors, start the steering wheel and seat heating, adjust the lighting and massage, and perform many other actions by voice command. Yandex services are integrated into the system: Navigator, Yandex Music, Video, Books, and Browser – you can start a playlist or put on cartoons for children. Synchronization is supported: you can finish listening to an audiobook you started at home in the car.

The platform supports work without the Internet. This means that in a remote area it will still execute voice commands, processing them locally. Yandex Auto is integrated into production. The car manufacturer can choose to integrate Yandex services into the manufacturer’s interface on Android Automotive OS or install a platform with the Yandex interface on Android Automotive OS, which has everything you need to control multimedia and car systems. Yandex Auto debuted in 2017 – its current version works in Lada cars.
