Apple reported its financial results for the second quarter of its 2025 fiscal year this week. During a call with investors, Apple CEO Tim Cook acknowledged that it will take longer for the company to ensure that Siri’s AI features meet quality standards, but noted that developers have already made some progress in this area.

«“As for the more personalized Siri features we announced, we need more time to finalize them to meet our high quality standards. We’ve made progress and look forward to delivering these features to our customers,” Cook said on a call with investors.
Apple announced Siri’s personalized AI features at WWDC 2024 last June. They were originally planned to be part of the iOS 18 update. However, that did not happen, and Apple later acknowledged that the features would take longer to develop than expected. Now, Apple is expected to roll out the personalized Apple Intelligence features in iOS 19. However, Apple’s wording suggests that users may have to wait until 2026 for the new AI features to arrive.
