Thermal Grizzly, known in the cooling system market as a supplier of various premium thermal pastes, has launched a new brand, Polartherm, aimed exclusively at the mid-range and entry-level thermal interface segments. The first products of the new brand were inexpensive thermal pastes Polartherm X10 and Polartherm X8.

Polartherm X10 and Polartherm X8 silicone oil based thermal pastes use both aluminum oxide and zinc powder in their formulations to ensure consistent thermal conductivity throughout their service life. The manufacturer states that both products are highly resistant to extrusion, in which the paste can be gradually pushed out of the cooling area during repeated cycles of expansion and contraction. This is critical to maintaining performance in both air-cooled and water-cooled systems.
The cost of Polartherm X8 thermal paste varies from 2.90 euros for a volume of 2 grams to 14.90 euros for a volume of 40 grams. In turn, Polartherm X10 is priced in the same volumes from 3.90 to 16.90 euros.
