The web version of Yandex Music received support for lossless audio and other innovations

The beta testing process of the new web version of the Yandex Music service has come to an end. Now platform users will have access to trailers, concert recommendations, the ability to buy tickets, and the ability to listen to music in lossless format.

According to Yandex, the interface update has led to users listening to My Wave 12% longer, and the total listening time has increased by 7%. The main page of the web version of the service has two main sections. The first, For You, contains personalized content generated based on user preferences using special algorithms. The second, Trends, includes editorial selections, charts, and playlists.

In the updated web version of Yandex Music, you can customize the side menu by pinning the most suitable My Wave settings, playlists, artists, or albums. In addition, users of the web version of the service can now listen to music in lossless format, get acquainted with the work of artists through trailers, and buy tickets to concerts.

The update provides convenient and seamless switching between platforms: users interact with a single interface regardless of the device they listen to music on. Seamless playback is supported – for example, if a track was launched in the mobile app, you can continue listening to it in the web version without interruption.

All new features of the web version are already available to users with a Yandex Plus subscription. Those who do not have a subscription have access to a limited set of features: they can listen to music, podcasts, editorial selections and content from the Trends section, but with advertising inserts.
