Chinese smartphone and wearable device manufacturer Cubot has announced the upcoming start of global sales of the ultra-rugged smartphone KingKong Star 2, which is scheduled for October 21. Despite the increased protection from external influences and the reinforced design of the case, the device has a thickness of only 7.2 mm at its thinnest part, being one of the thinnest rugged smartphones on the market.
Another feature of KingKong Star 2 is an additional 1.85-inch touch screen on the rear panel, which allows you to access the necessary applications and notifications, as well as various information, such as time or battery level, without unlocking the smartphone.
The 6.72-inch main screen supports FHD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate for crisp, colorful images and smooth scrolling. Durable Corning Gorilla Glass is used to protect the screen from damage.
KingKong Star 2 is built on a powerful eight-core MediaTek Dimensity 8200 chip with a clock frequency of 3.1 GHz and a Mali-G610 MC6 graphics accelerator, manufactured using a 4nm process technology. In combination with 12 GB of RAM with the possibility of virtual expansion up to 24 GB, the processor ensures high-performance operation of the device in multitasking mode, as well as running resource-intensive applications and heavy games. The capacity of the flash drive is 256 GB. Heat removal from components is ensured by efficient LiquidCool Technology cooling technology.
For photo and video shooting, the smartphone has a 100-megapixel main camera and a front camera with a resolution of 32 megapixels, allowing you to get clear, professional-quality photographs, be it landscapes or close-up shots.
KingKong Star 2 has been certified according to IP68/IP69K and MIL-STD-810H standards, which confirms its high protection from moisture, dust and resistance to shocks and falls, providing the ability to use in extreme conditions, on hikes and in particularly hazardous industrial environments .
