Samsung, like Apple, if you believe unofficial information, is preparing to release a phone in a radically thin body. This information was confirmed by the well-known insider OnLeaks and the Smartprix resource – they published images of a smartphone they called Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim.

The device has a flat screen, back panel and side edges; There are three cameras on the back cover – all this is reminiscent of both last year’s Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S25, images of which became public last week. The difference is in dimensions: the thickness of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim promises to be 6.4 mm, that is, it will be 1.2 mm thinner than the Galaxy S24. The thickness of the Galaxy S25 Ultra, which heads the new flagship line, according to OnLeaks and Smartprix, will be 8.2 mm, that is, the model with the “Slim” prefix in the name will be almost 2 mm thinner.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim camera set will include a 200-megapixel main camera, a 50-megapixel wide-angle camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom. The telephoto lens will receive a special ALoP (All Lenses on Prism) design – it involves placing the lenses in front of the prism, and not behind it, in order to preserve the thin body of the smartphone and not sacrifice optical zoom.

The smartphone will also be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip with 12 GB of RAM; The device is expected to be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked event on January 22, but it won’t go on sale until May 2025. The announcement of the thin Apple iPhone 17 Air is expected only in the fall.
