The Share button appears in the Start menu and taskbar in Windows 11

Microsoft wants Windows 11 users to share data with each other more often, for which the “Share” button has appeared in the operating system. This integrated feature is now available in the Start menu and taskbar, allowing users to quickly share app content or files.

After clicking the “Share” button, a small menu appears from which you can select one of the available options for sharing content, for example, by email or through some web application. This tool is designed to simplify and optimize the process of exchanging files, links or text.

Not all apps currently have a share button, and it looks like Microsoft is looking to change that. Not long ago, developers integrated this feature into Windows search results. Now the “Share” button has become available in the “Start” menu and on the taskbar.

You can share something from the Start menu by right-clicking on the corresponding icon and selecting the “Share” option from the menu that appears.

The Share button in the Start menu and taskbar is currently available to Windows Insiders. It is still unknown when this innovation may appear in stable builds of Windows 11.
