The creators of Stellar Blade have confirmed plans for a PC version – the release date for the photo mode and add-on for Nier: Automata has been announced

The creators of the post-apocalyptic action game Stellar Blade from the South Korean studio Shift Up revealed the release date of the add-on based on Nier: Automata and a new content patch, and in a fresh financial report they confirmed plans for the PC version.

The Nier: Automata expansion, which was “largely” inspired by Stellar Blade, will add the mysterious Emil’s shop to Shift Up, which will sell 11 themed items.

Accompanying the announcement, a 42-second gameplay trailer for the crossover between Stellar Blade and Nier: Automata (see video below) demonstrates thematic content, including several appearances for the androids 2B and A2.

The content update will bring a photo mode, four alternative costumes, one accessory, a hairstyle option without a ponytail, a choice of music tracks in the camp, as well as auto-targeting and projectile trajectory correction functions.

Both the expansion and the aforementioned patch will be released for Stellar Blade on PS5 on November 20th. The Gematsu portal emphasizes that the update will be free, but you will have to pay for content based on Nier: Automata.

As for the PC version, Shift Up is considering releasing Stellar Blade on PC in 2025. Looking at the results of Black Myth: Wukong, the studio expects that the computer release will be more successful than the console one.

Stellar Blade was released on April 26 on PS5 and sold 1 million copies in two months. The action game received high marks from critics and a record user score for PS5 games on Metacritic (9.2).
