The characteristics of the Apple M4 Pro chip and the Mac mini computer became known ahead of time thanks to the efforts of Amazon

Apple has decided to devote this week to Mac series computers powered by M4 processors. The day before, the company presented the all-in-one iMac; announcements of the updated MacBook Pro and a radically redesigned Mac mini are also expected in the near future. The technical specifications of the mini-PC and the M4 Pro chip were leaked by Amazon.

On the Apple M4 iMac comparison page, the company published some specs of the new generation Mac mini and an image of it – as you might expect, it resembles a smaller Mac Studio. The updated mini-PC will likely be the first in the line to receive a more powerful version of the M4 Pro platform. According to a leak from the Amazon website, the Mac mini will be equipped with a chip with up to 14 central cores and up to 20 GPU cores, up to 64 GB of RAM and an SSD with a capacity of up to 8 TB. On the front side of the case there are supposedly two USB Type-C ports and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

For comparison, the current Mac mini on the M2 Pro can have up to 12 central cores and up to 19 GPU cores, as well as up to 32 GB of RAM. The announcement of a new generation computer is expected today or tomorrow. Finally, according to Amazon, Apple has no plans to release an updated Mac Studio yet.
