The blogger experienced the advanced XR-team of Samsung Project Moohan on Android XR-more conveniently than Apple Vision Pro

The development of the expanded reality headset (XR) Project Moohan from Samsung and Google, created on the basis of the Google Android XR software platform, is nearing completion. This is evidenced by a video of YouTuber MKBHD, which gained access to the prototype of the device, outwardly reminiscent of the Apple Vision Pro. Earlier this month, Samsung introduced the prototype Project Moohan at the Galaxy Unpacked event.

The XR-harniture of Samsung, the name of which has not yet been open, is equipped with a removable shield with a mount on magnets designed to protect the eyes from light. The disk located in the back of the headset allows you to adjust its landing. “With such a setting, most of the pressure now falls on the eyebrows above the eyes, unlike Vision Pro, where the pressure was felt below the eyes due to sagging the device,” said Utubert.

To manage the Project Moohan set, a button is provided in the upper part of the case on the right and the volume control key on the left. On the right strap of the headset there is a touch panel, which is easy to detect thanks to the raised bar. It is still unknown whether controllers will be supplied with the device.

Like the Apple Vision Pro, the Samsung XR harp is equipped with a removable battery, which is attached to the cable and placed in the user’s back pocket. However, the main difference is that the USB-C cable connected to the battery can be easily removed without using tools. This simplifies the replacement of a discharged battery.

The video also demonstrates the user interface Android XR. Users will be able to move and change the size of the windows using gestures of the hands. In addition, the Google Play store was shown in action. According to YouTuber, all applications from the Play Market will be available at the Samsung headset.

The Project Moohan headset is integrated with the Google Gemini Assistant. He is able to not only answer questions, but also move along the user interface, organize windows and perform actions in applications on voice commands.
