The Browser Company has announced the availability of its Arc Search browser to all Android users following the completion of an open beta last month. The developer calls Arc Search the “fastest search tool” and positions it as the “best alternative” to Google’s Chrome.
Arc Search not only blocks ads, but also has an AI-powered feature called Browse for me that highlights what’s important in search results. In a September interview with Decoder, The Browser Company CEO Josh Miller described Arc as a search engine aimed primarily at laptops, but the company is clearly leaning toward mobile devices as well.
According to a press release, more than 100,000 Android users participated in beta testing of Arc Search. The developer says it has fixed some of the issues that most bothered users during beta testing. As a result, the browser now fully supports Android 12, voice search, landscape mode and improved incognito mode.
The Browser Company originally released Arc Search as a desktop browser for Mac only. In January, it became available as a mobile version for iOS devices, and the browser reached Windows in April.
