Telegram now has enhanced gift management capabilities

The next Telegram update is dedicated to the gift function – they can be set as a status, sent to the blockchain, put up for auction, given to channels and much more.

Gifts that have become collectible can be used as unique emoji statuses. The background and pattern of the gift in this case become the background color and background pattern of the profile, and the gift itself is illuminated with twinkling stars. A gift can now be sent not only to a user, but also to a channel on Telegram – before sending it, it can be improved for a small number of stars, and the recipient will turn it into a free collectible item.

Users can transfer gifts or put them up in the Ton blockchain, as is done with collection public names and phone numbers-for this, the gift must be moved to a Ton wallet. These mechanism allows the owner to maintain a gift in the property, even if he loses access to his account in Telegram or delete it. Channel owners can transfer gifts received by the channel to other users or put them up for auction – so bloggers and charitable organizations can raise funds for their initiatives. This function is gradually expanded for different regions.

A collection gift can boast of the publication of the “History” format – each of them now has its own unique link of the type “T.ME/NFT”, which can be published on the channel or send friends. The “Gifts” tab appeared in the channels, and you can use filters in it to sort gifts at the price, the availability of collection status, delivery and release date in limited or unlimited quantities. The channel administrator can configure notifications about receiving gifts.
