Telegram now has channel markings from Roskomnadzor — they “can be reposted”

Telegram has launched marking of channels whose owners have registered with Roskomnadzor, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma IT Committee Anton Gorelkin reported in his Telegram channel. Now messenger users have the opportunity to “quickly and clearly see which channels can be reposted, and advertisers – where to place their content,” he noted.

Channels are marked with a blue “A+” icon. The registration procedure is described in the @Trustchannelbot bot. According to the deputy, the entire process takes a few minutes, after which the mark appears to the left of the channel name.

«I think that over time this mark will also become a clear marker of the responsible attitude of the channel’s author to his content,” Gorelkin said.

According to amendments to the laws “On Information” and “On Advertising”, adopted by the State Duma in July 2024, bloggers with an audience of more than 10 thousand subscribers are required to submit data to Roskomnadzor, which keeps records in a special register. Anton Gorelkin reported a few days ago that the register already contains more than 134 thousand bloggers. He also noted that VKontakte, Odnoklassniki and Rutube have already introduced native labeling of registered channels, unlike Telegram, which was in no hurry to launch this mechanism.
