Tecno, ahead of the MWC 2025 exhibition, decided to stir up interest in the upcoming announcements by pre-presenting the ultra-thin Tecno Spark Slim smartphone. It is only 5.75 mm thick and the company calls it the thinnest smartphone with a 5200 mAh battery. The manufacturer also showed smart glasses.
The Tecno Spark Slim features a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED display with a 1.5K (1224p) resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, and 4500 cd/m2 peak brightness. At the top of the display is a 13MP front-facing selfie camera. The rear panel houses the main camera, which includes two 50MP sensors. Both cameras feature an interactive light strip.
The 5200 mAh battery with fast charging support is only 4.04 mm thick. It is also reported that the Tecno Spark Slim is built on a high-performance eight-core chip, the name of which has not yet been revealed. The rest of the specifications are also kept secret for now – most likely they will be revealed at MWC.
In addition to the new smartphone model, the company plans to present its first smart glasses with AI at MWC 2025 — the basic version of AI Glasses and the AI Glasses Pro model with support for augmented reality. It is assumed that the new products will organically fit into the comprehensive ecosystem of Tecno products with AI, covering smartphones, laptops and wearable devices.
By touching the temples of the glasses or by voice command, the built-in Tecno Ella AI voice assistant is activated, allowing users to control the gadget’s functions, use the Tecno ecosystem and view notes and business schedule.
Acting as a personal AI companion, the glasses offer features such as object recognition, information summarization, travel information, and business recommendations. The AI Glasses Pro model also supports real-time navigation and augmented reality applications.
The new products are made of magnesium alloy and ultra-light composite materials, making them the same weight as regular sunglasses. The company is expected to showcase models in the Eyebrow Frame and Aviator Style.
The presentation of new Tecno products will take place at MWC 2025 at the Tecno AI Ecosystem Product Launch Event.
