At the MWC 2025 exhibition currently taking place in Barcelona, TCL has unveiled three smartphones of the 60th series. We are talking about the TCL 60 SE NXTPAPER 5G, TCL 60 SE and TCL 60 R models, which will replenish the entry-level device segment.
The TCL 60 SE NXTPAPER 5G smartphone received a 6.7-inch display from the developers with support for HD+ resolution and a variable refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The device is equipped with an NXTPAPER 4.0 panel, which not only can operate at a high refresh rate, but can also switch to e-book mode. The screen has an anti-glare coating and supports three operating modes to reduce eye strain while reading. One of the Max Ink Mode modes provides up to 7 days of device operation in reading mode due to the maximum reduction in energy consumption.
The TSL 60 SE received support for a number of AI-based functions developed jointly with Microsoft. The hardware basis of the new product was the eight-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 microprocessor. On the back of the case there is a dual main camera, combining 50 and 5 MP sensors.
The configuration is complemented by 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The smartphone will be sold in markets around the world at a price of about €189.
At the same time, an even more affordable TCL 60 SE without an NXTPAPER screen and with support for 4G/LTE networks was presented. How much this model will cost at retail and when it will go on sale is still unknown.
Another new product is the TCL 60 R 5G, which is equipped with a 6.7-inch display with HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The panel does not support NXTPAPER technology.
However, this smartphone has NXTURBO, a hardware accelerator that provides faster app launches, smooth image loading, and scrolling.
The TCL 60 R 5G is equipped with a Dimensity 6300 chip, which ensures operation in 5G networks. The design includes a main 50-megapixel camera and an 8-megapixel front camera. The power source is a 5200 mAh battery. The case is protected from moisture and dust. The TCL 60 R 5G smartphone is equipped with 4 GB of RAM (expandable to 12 GB) and a 128 GB drive. The retail price of the device will be €119.
