According to information leaked via a product page on Amazon Spain, the WH-1000XM6 will feature an updated QN3 HD processor. According to The Verge, this chip will be seven times faster than the QN1 chip found in the previous WH-1000XM5, and will provide noticeably better noise-cancelling performance and possibly improve overall sound quality.

There’s also mention of a six-microphone array with AI-powered beamforming, designed to improve voice calls by focusing on a specific audio source while suppressing background noise. The good news for many will be the retention of the traditional headphone jack.

The leak also revealed information about the potential price of the new product. In the US, the WH-1000XM6 headphones may start at $450. This is $50 more than the recommended retail price of the XM5 model at the start of sales, which was $400. Dealabs associates the possible price increase with the impact of tariffs imposed by the Trump administration.
