After six beta versions and a longer-than-expected testing period, Samsung has suddenly stopped the global rollout of the One UI 7.0 update for its devices due to a serious bug found in the version for South Korean Galaxy S24 devices.

As reported by 9to5Google, citing a post in X by insider UniverseIce, the distribution of the update was temporarily suspended in all countries, including China. This happened just a few days after the start of the Android 15 rollout for Samsung devices. The mass release of One UI 7 began on April 10, but the process stalled over the weekend.

The issues may be related to Galaxy S24 devices running on the Exynos 2400 processor. Some users claim that OTA (Over-the-Air) files have been completely removed from the company’s servers, which may indicate the scale of the problem, Android Authority also writes.

Interestingly, while initial reports point to issues with specific Exynos models, Snapdragon-powered devices have also been affected. The update for the US versions of the Galaxy S24, Z Fold, and Z Flip 6 has also been paused, with OTA files removed from Samsung’s servers.

It is currently unclear how this situation will impact devices that have already received the update as part of the first wave of rollout. However, a hotfix is expected to be released in the coming days to address critical issues.

The company is working to resolve the current issues before continuing the global release and has not yet provided official comments regarding the timing of the update’s resumption.
